Diesel
Diesel is used in a wide range of applications, and is South Africa’s leading retail fuel used in sectors ranging from agriculture and construction, to forestry and mining, and many more. It contains more energy and has a higher power density than petrol. Therefore, vehicles and machinery powered by diesel engines do more work per unit of energy consumed than vehicles powered by petrol or alternative fuels.
The National Department of Energy legislated two grades of diesel with maximum sulphur levels, namely 500 parts per million (ppm) and 50 ppm, effective since 2006. We offer both grades.
